My name is Elsa, this is the story of my mom.
She was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2010. She was a mom of six children, I am the first. After been diagnosed, her situation began worsening. What encouraged us is that we had such a great Faith and she kept on believing in God for her healing. I can’t remember the numbers of fasting and prayer. I cried unto God. I can’t tell of the amount of medicine she took but she was such a hero! Her faith was something I had never seen.
Over time she grew pale, she lost so much weight and later on she lost all her capacities, she could not walk she could not bathe herself, she had to depend on me for everything. She was my most precious diamond. Her faith never decreased; often when people visited her and asked her how she was feeling, she would answer: God is still on the throne.
I had such a great faith that i knew she will be healed. She was the one who led us to Christ, she always told us it was important to have a closer relationship with Jesus. On Sunday november 11 2012, my sister and I were about to sleep when my phone rang and I read this message: mom is gone.
She would always answer… “God is still on the throne.”
The greatest warrior I have ever seen who never gave up, always smiled and sometimes cried but her faith never decreased. She gave me so much energy through everything she taught me. As a 22 year old girl I went through two breast surgeries last year and the doctor is saying I may have the same issue again. But my mom taught me, while battling breast cancer, how to be a fighter.
I am not only the first born now, I have become a mom to my brothers and sisters. Sometimes at look at heaven and I say deep within: mom should surely be happy seeing her children growing up in the Lord. She is my hero, my fighter and now, I’m a fighter too.
